Costa Rica Activities with Playgrounds

Captain Pete and his crew will take care of you and make sure you have the best of times on board.

Half day package (4 hours up to 8 people) - includes open bar, snacks and fresh fruit. Bigger groups are possible upon request at an extra fee per person and will include an extra host.

• Morning: 8:00 am – 12:00 pm
• Afternoon: 1:30 pm – 5:30 pm

Daily packages (8 hours up to 8 people) - includes open bar (soft drinks and beer), snacks and fresh fruit. Bigger groups are possible upon request at an extra fee per person and will include an extra host.

• Dawn Patrol: 7:00am – 3:00pm; breakfast and lunch included.
• Lazy Day: 9:30am – 5:30 pm; with lunch, sunset snacks and drinks included 
• Ocean Dinner: 1:00pm – 8:00pm; with sunset snacks/drinks and dinner under the stars included (drop-off at Flamingo marina and complementary taxi back to Tamarindo)

COSTA RICA FISHING CHARTER PACKAGES

Fishing specific full day trips, chasing marlin, sailfish, dorados, etc 
(8 hours up to 8 people. - includes open bar (soft drinks and beer), lunch, snacks and fresh fruit.
Bigger groups are possible upon request at an extra fee per person and will include an extra host.

A PLAYGROUNDS fishing trip combines hardcore fishing with family time, great food and drinks and all other activities we offer on board. Captain Pete has more than 15 year fishing experience in the area.

• Daily trips can be upgraded to a luxury package with catering from Pangas https://www.facebook.com/PangasTamarindo/, one of the best restaurants in Tamarindo. Guests will experience fantastic meals, wines included and an extra host for table service, drinks etc.. Quotes and menus on request. 

OVERNIGHT PACKAGES:

Overnight packages: BASED ON 6 PEOPLE (adults or kids) + 2 EXTRA KIDS (extra kids sleep in saloon). Sorry we cannot take bigger groups on these trips, maximum 6 adults 

One night trip

• Morning check in 8am - check out 8:00 am next day or evening check in 4pm - check out 4pm next day 
• Sleep over night in your private bay and beach

Coastal trips; Single trips are with flight or taxi back option, return trip are back and forth on the boat 

• Tamarindo -  Santa Teresa: 3 day minimum single trip, 5 day minimum for a return trip (Tamarindo - Santa Teresa - Tamarindo)
• Tamarindo -  Boca Barranca: 4 day minimum single trip, 5 day return
• Tamarindo - Pavones / Matapalo: 7 day minimum single trip, 10 day return trip 
• Any other custom trip can be offered 

Combo trips  

• Combination of a stay in any Elite Beach Villa property in Tamarindo (5 day minimum stay) with any boat package 

SURF TRIPS: 6 SURFERS MAXIMUM

1 Night – 1 Day surf trip

• Departure at 7 pm pickup at Tamarindo Beach or Flaming depending on ocean conditions (captain Pete’s call). 
• Sail to Ollies or Witches while relaxing / sleeping. 
• Open bar, all snacks, meals and all Playgrounds activities included (Stand up paddle boards, jet ski fun, snorkeling, fishing, etc). 
• Wake up, surf all day and leave back to Tamarindo 3:00pm, arrival 6:00pm

1 Night – 2 Day surf trip

• Departure at 7 am pickup at Tamarindo Beach Sail to Ollies or Witches (3 hr approx.), surf all day. 
• Open bar, all snacks, meals and all Playgrounds activities included (Stand up paddle boards, jet ski fun, snorkeling, fishing, etc
• Sleep, wake up, surf all day and leave back to Tamarindo 3:00pm, arrival 6:00pm. 

Multiple nights (2 or more) – days (3 or more) in Costa Rica  

• Open bar, all snacks, meals and all Playgrounds activities included (Stand up paddle boards, jet ski fun, snorkeling, fishing …)
• Several destination options depending on length of trip; covering from Pavones in South to Ollies point in the north. 
• Trip schedule :
• Day 1: Departure at 7 am pickup at Tamarindo Beach, sail to destination and surf. 
• Day 3-4-5-…: explore the coast and surf spots, surf, sleep, eat, relax, drink, watch a movie, cruise, go fishing. 
• Last day: wake up, surf all day and leave back to Tamarindo for 6:00pm arrival. 

Nicaragua trip: 5 nights / 6 days minimum: 

• This trip will take you to surf the best spots in Costa Rica (before or after heading towards Nicaragua), such as Ollie's point, Witches Rock, … and the south of Nicaragua with more than 30 miles worth of surfing spots.
• Keep in mind there is a immigration process we need to go through going in and out of Costa Rica (remember Saturday and Sunday immigration doesn't work).
• Open bar, all snacks, meals and all Playgrounds activities included (Stand up paddle boards, jet ski fun, snorkeling, fishing …)
• Trip schedule :
• Day 1: Departure at 6 am from Playa Tamarindo or 8 am from Playa Coco. Immigration papers with Capitan and crew usually takes 2/3 hours. Start heading north and according to swell and sea conditions, decide where to start our adventure. Surf Ollies or Witches in the afternoon. 
• Day 2: wake up, surf in the morning and start heading towards Nicaragua (little over 20 miles ride, around 2 hours) . Check through customs in San Juan del Sur around lunch, followed by evening surf or city sightseeing.
• Day 3-4-5- …: explore the coast and surf spots, surf, sleep, eat, relax, drink, watch a movie, cruise, go fishing ;  breaks such as Madera's, Colorado’s, Panga Drop Gigantes,, Lances Left, Manzanillo's, Santana's, & more. Pete checks maps and location of these and add others. 
• Last day: wake up, early surf, check out off Nicaragua in San Juan del Sur, check in to Costa Rica in Playa Coco, sail back to Tamarindo for 6:00pm arrival.

• Surfing: for all levels and ages; from young kids to seasoned pros everybody can find waves. On request we can provide some complimentary surfboards (long boards and short boards)

• Sightseeing: beautiful beaches and tropical landscapes to admire

• We have towable inflatables and a knee board to tow you and have great fun 
• The Jet ski is only operated by the crew of the boat and at its sole discretion
